Respite Matching Website

Finding temporary childcare (i.e. babysitting, though in the foster care system it is called 'respite') requires meeting strict county guidelines, for good reason. However, this makes it difficult for foster parents to take time off, and often leads to burnout. Blueprint's respite-matching website will allow foster parents to find each other for respite when they need it, which will increase retention rates in the foster care system.

Scholarship Portal

To make scholarship/grant application reviews fair in the Boulder Valley School District, all applicants' identifying information is removed before the review process. However, this is currently done manually, which is extremely time consuming. Blueprint's scholarship portal will use natural language processing to automate the redaction process, in order to efficiently continue this ethical practice.

Web Scrapper to find Madagascan Suppliers

Thinking Huts seeks to 3D-print schools in Madagascar in order to increase access to education in the region. Additionally, they seek to source their materials from local suppliers to boost the nearby economy, but this is difficult to achieve remotely from Boulder. Blueprint's web scraping tool automates this arudous search process using keywords and provides a list of potential suppliers.

Gamified Learning Platform

Girls Inc Metro Denver's (GIMD) after-school programming to help girls learn to be smart, strong, and bold, was completely up-ended due to the pandemic. Blueprint extended GIMD's website to host their educational content in a gamified format, effectively pandemic-proofing their outreach program.

Apricot Database Redesign and Resources

Safehouse Denver's client database had become uncharted territory over the past few years: none of the staff were able to maintain it, and it was in need of a overhaul. Blueprint's team created a database redesign plan and instructional videos about how to navigate Apricot databases in order to improve Safehouse Denver's data insight and technical sustainability.
